Video solutions for industrial organisations

We were approached by the chief executive of a large manufacturing organisation, who asked us to work with their training department to produce a series of videos based on the processes of various manufacturing lines.

The problem they were looking to address was that employees were each trained and worked on one particular part of the process, and were not aware of the processes in the production line. This led to issues when bringing all the elements together and could result in expensive wastage.

Our approach was to create a suite of videos that would show the workings of all of the sub processes in a non technical way that a lay person could understand, to give an overview of the whole production line and how it worked together.

We worked closely with the training department as well as the processing engineers to create super accurate storyboards, which were then approved by senior management. We used filming, modelling and 3D animation to illustrate the various processes, highlighting important details of the manufacturing methods.

This content was then assembled in to 15 minute videos, each covering one process, this meant that the videos could be “mixed and matched” to create different overall processes as required.

Our challenge was to bring the complicated and specialist information in to a form that would be easily understood. The results of these videos have been very positive for the manufacturing company and as a result they have increased efficiency and reduced wastage, saving the department both time and money.
