Hire, Induct, Train, Repeat…

All businesses know how much time, money and resources they spend on repetitive tasks, such as inductions, or maybe you don’t!

It doesn’t matter if you are in tech, construction, manufacturing, retail, education or, in fact, any other sector you can think of,  your organisation is probably delivering repetitive induction sessions, using up precious resources that could be better utilised elsewhere

There is a solution to this… Video.

This is not a new concept, every time you visit a trampoline centre, a go-kart track or any other high-risk, high-volume leisure site, you are more likely to be asked to watch an induction video before your session begins than have someone talk through “the Rules”. Even cinemas do it with the obligatory phone use and media recording film before the feature begins. It would be strange if someone came out to have a chat with you about phone use, wouldn’t it?

The beauty of video is that it can be used over and over without generating additional costs and can even be sent out in advance to any new hires or expected site visitors electronically, saving both their time and yours.

Colleges and universities, for example, have a huge turnover of students every year and Covid has meant that not all students will regularly attend in person. This makes it difficult to deliver mass induction/informational events as would have been the norm in the past. Video is the solution that lets you deliver engaging, consistent information at a time that suits the intended audience. Plus, this way, the audience can then refer back to the information as often as they need rather than try to remember it.

Induction films can also be made to be really engaging through the addition of animation and sound and video. And…video delivery is proven to increase information retention over text or oral methods. Plus, people just prefer visuals and video, just check your own social media habits.

What are the costs involved?

As with all things creative, the more complicated something is, the more expensive it gets. However, you might be pleasantly surprised!

Also, video is also incredibly versatile! Not only are your films, well, yours to use as often as you need, we can re-edit them, adding or removing content when circumstances or regulations change. You can also have different cuts to match the target audience, giving you a greater ROI than trying to make a single film work for all channels.
